1996 Pair of Green Leather Office Chairs by Eames for Herman Miller Time Life

This pair of vintage mid century modern green Model 3475 Eames Time Life Lobby Chairs designed by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller were manufactured in 1996. These classic office chairs feature beautiful green leather upholstery and charcoal gray five-star cast aluminum swivel bases with black rolling casters and a cranberry red adjustment knob for the perfect color accent. The comfortable, contoured ergonomic design features thick, plush cushions, swivel seat and adjustable height and backrest tilt. An adaptation of the commissioned ‘Lobby Chairs’ for the Time Life building in New York, the 1960 release of the Time Life Lounge Chair brought the chair to the broader public of homes, offices, conference rooms and lobbies all over the US and internationally. Model 3475 introduced later in the 1960s has the width and laid back comfort and swivel of the 675 model with added height and tilt adjustability. This iconic and collectible desk chair is the gold-standard and perfect for home or office use. All chairs date stamped May 1, 1996 with Herman Miller labels to underside.
