This exceptional antique Art Deco lacquered wood armoire wardrobe cabinet is circa 1940. It is impeccably handcrafted from solid wood and Carpathian elm wood veneer with gorgeous matchbooked grain patterning. This unique cabinet has beautiful curves and a tall, elegant profile and features a distinctive tri-level design. The cabinet side doors open on storage with three total adjustable and removable wooden shelves. The lefthand side has three spacious lower drawers with original silver rectangular handle pulls. The center double doors have interior mirrors and open on a separate internal door with a full-length beveled mirrored. The central storage area has a chrome hanging bar. The entire cabinet was designed and built to disassemble into sections and has all original steel assembly hardware. This versatile cabinet and showpiece is both beautiful and functional and can be used as a clothing armoire or adapted for other uses such as a storage cabinet, bar cabinet, etc.
CONDITION
Excellent vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Two working replacement keys included. Center double doors do not lock. All doors utilize key insertion to open and close. Center doors and interior door can sometimes stick. Right side door mirror is a new replacement. Cabinet has original wiring for interior overhead light. Untested.
