Ditzel’s Exceptional Mid Century Danish Drop-Front Secretary Desk with Wall Shelf

This exceptional vintage mid century Danish modern cherry wood secretary desk with wall shelf designed by Nanna & Jørgen Ditzel was made in Denmark circa 1950. The cabinet is impeccably crafted from cherry wood with a warm honey tone and beautiful natural grain. The classic Scandinavian modern design has strikingly elegant proportions with clean, minimalist, geometric lines. Resting on long, tapered legs the secretary cabinet features a step-back hutch with a locking drop-front door with small sculpted wood handles that opens to a writing surface. Ample interior storage includes multiple open cubbies and seven small drawers of varying sizes with lovely dovetailed design detailing. The unique format includes a separate matching wall shelf with divided cubbies and shelves that can be mounted to the wall or simply placed atop the cabinet.
