Executive Purple Leather Tall Desk Chair by Herman Miller Eames in Eggplant Hue

This authentic Eames for Herman Miller Soft Pad Executive Height office chair from the Aluminum Group Collection was manufactured in 1991. This executive height model chair features a taller backrest, polished aluminum five-star swivel base, armrests and rolling casters. This particular chair is in a rare eggplant purple leather upholstery with a deep, dark purple chair frame and red accent tilt control knob. The actual color is difficult to translate through photos and can appear black, but the dark purple of both the upholstery and the frame are a subtle and gorgeous shade. The comfortable, contoured ergonomic design features thick cushions and a 360 degree smooth swivel seat and backrest tilt. This classic mid century modern office chair was first introduced in 1969 by Charles and Ray Eames as the luxury model of the 1958 Aluminum Group line. Original Herman Miller label on underside. An iconic and collectible desk chair; perfect for home or office.

CONDITION
Excellent vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Some minor scratches especially to one arm as per photos. We have replaced the two small round black end caps on the base shaft with silver end caps. Noted for accuracy.
