Fritz Hansen’s Danish Modern Wood Stools Series 7 Designed by Arne Jacobsen

This set of four mid century Danish modern natural cherry wood and steel Series 7 Model 3187 counter stools designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen were manufactured in Denmark in 2007. This stool was originally designed by Arne Jacobsen (Danish, 1898-1976) in 1955. The 3187 counter height stool has a minimalist, elegant form and features a tubular chromed steel base with a four-sided footrest affixed to the extended legs. The natural cherry wood seat with its signature shape is made from nine layers of pressure moulded veneer for strength, flexibility and durability. The 3187 counter stool was relaunched in 2005 to honor the 50th anniversary of the Series 7 design and is the most popular model within Fritz Hansen’s chair collection.
